Rhinehart products carry a 1 year limited warranty (See Warranty Policy), from the date of purchase. Please have a copy of your invoice available for reference.
How do I know which dehorner model will work the best for me?
Are you dehorning calves or disbudding kid goats? How many calves/kids will you be doing? Will you be soldering?
X-30 dehorners work best for disbudding kid goats. (X-30 dehorners can be special ordered with ¼" O.D. or 3/8" O.D. tips. If you will be disbudding quite a few kids, you might want to consider an X-50A dehorner with a small adapter tip. If you will be soldering, our X-50 model will be the best choice for you.
What types of dairy research products do you carry?
We carry a full line of plastic gloves, sleeves and boots. We also have various Infusion & Insemination tubes. Rhinehart Development is your one stop shop for WMT, CMT and BLT.
How do I use WMT (Wisconsin Mastitis Test)?
WMT can be a powerful tool in improving the quality of milk produced. It can also protect the dairy herd and the milk producer from the losses associated with mastitis in high producing cows. Cows with BST (Bovine Somatotropin) have more stressed placed on their mammary tissue. This increases the risk of mastitis infections. Unless managed carefully, mastitis can wipe out much of the benefit of higher milk production through BST treatment.
I’m looking for cow magnets, what sizes do you carry?
We carry both low cost and high strength magnets as follows:
Flat Magnetrol, 5/8” Round Atratol, and ½” Round Atratol
What do the "D" and "S" stand for on the X-50 Dehorner?
These letters are for the operation of the heat control levers.
To operate: Set the lever to the "D" position for Dehorning operations.
Set the lever to the "S" position for Soldering operations.
What materials do you specialize in with the fabrication or stamping operations?
We are most comfortable with carbon or aluminum sheets and coils, although we do work with some brass and copper.
Do you have minimum quantities?
RDC is a state of the art metal stamping and fabrication facility that hasn't lost touch with its small "job shop" roots. No job is too big or small for us to quote.
What kind of lead-time should I expect?
It varies from job to job depending on the complexity and material availability of the job, but our standard lead-time is three to four weeks for fabrication.
Do you have a contingency plan?
Absolutely, if you look at our equipment list you will see that every critical piece of machinery comes in pairs. This is beneficial to our customers as well as us. If a piece of equipment is taken down for maintenance the other can continue to run production to meet customer demands.
What information do we need to quote a job?
We prefer a blue print of the part, quantity to produce, and delivery date to the customer. Samples are always helpful. On the other hand, we have quoted jobs with as little as a hand drawn sketch and a phone call. RDC is a full service shop and can help with the design and implementation of products.
Can we "drop ship" from our facility?
Yes, RDC ships products all over the world. We use a variety of transportation means, from UPS for smaller packages, to one of our larger freight hauling OTR partners for nation wide deliveries. Rhinehart's owns three company trucks for local and surrounding area deliveries.
Do you ship collect or prepaid?
We can ship product wherever the customer prefers, but RDC has accounts already established with some of the largest transportation companies in the United States, which gives us discounted rates for our customers. Please contact our sales manager for a shipping quote.
